I absolutely love Yngwie and neoclassical music but I don't know of any neoclassical artists other than him (which makes me feel stupid). Could someone point me in the direction of some other great neoclassical guitarist?

If you're looking for a real clone, check Michael Romeo out

I wouldn't call him a clone since he is PRE-Yngwie, but Uli John Roth is far less known for his contribution to the Neo Classical shred guitar. He may even be the first...

Looking for something very very close to Yngwie? Check out Joe Stump and also Yasu Matsushita (Yasu isn't as well known but is featured on our site). I'd hate to use the word clones as I don't think the artists would appreciate it but I'd say they're about as close as you're gonna get.

Lol, actual Malmsteen clones are found in abundance in Japan, frilly shirts and all.
