Sacred Reich - Ignorance
The Haunted - Self-Titled

Well...

Sonata Arctica - Reckoning Night
Sonata Arctica - Silence
Kamelot - The Black Halo
Kamelot - Ghost Opera
Cain's Offering - Gather the Faithful
Angtoria - God has a Plan for us All
Eluveitie - Slania

I guess in terms of albums, those are my favorites. A bit of an unusual list, I guess

It's not offical, but I'm thinking I am the grand pappy of this site

1 Ozzy- Diary of a Mad Man
2 Ozzy- Blizzard of Oz

The rest would probably be in the "founding fathers of metal" catagory.

Haha, why do you say that? Because you pefer the "older", original metal? Personally I can't stand Ozzy with the exception of Sabbath, but I'm a HUGE Led Zeppelin

Well, I looked at both lists and recongnized ONE band...I guess I'm more classic rock than metal. I think vocals has something to do with it. Where I live, it took a very long time for the local rock stations to even play Metallica. I don't know why that is, but Fade to Black was the first Metallica song I ever heard on the radio. Wasn't much of a Metal scene in Philly, mostly under-age night.

Zeppelin happens to be the greatest "driving in your car" band, in my opinion.

I can understand how vocals can turn people off, but I found a way to tune them out when I want to. I guess thats how I can listen to some Black Metal bands who have appauling vocals, even to other Black Metal bands

The radio stations around here are bogus, the "rock" station use to have a metal show from 12AM to 6AM called Metal Meltdown/Madness where they would toss out anything from Anthrax to Cradle Of Filth, but they shut it down after some years.

Exposed- The Vince Neil Band circa 1993 featuring Steve Stevens on bass and all guitars, really a primer in metal, melodic rock and a shredfest for SS post the Billy Idol band.. :D
Also Steve spent so much time on the guitar demos and dialing in his analogue recorded sound that it may well be the early nineties prime example of a Jackson/Charvel Dinky with a JB into six plexi Marshalls and harnessing that beast to achieve the most realistic in yer face Marshall sound, like being in the room with the cabs and playing great licks.
Steve..still trying to get paid by the Vince man properly for his contribution, but this is a go to reference for a recorded plexi tone imho

Can't find " The Edge" live, it's amazing how Steve nailed every lick from the CD, with Dave Marshall on rhythm guitar, I have the complete Chicago show, originally on VHS and then burned to DVD.
Steve says he played so much electric guitar he needed a change and thus the excellent "Flamenco A-Go-Go" was born:
Check out my research on the SS Washburn guitars at http://www.vintagewashburn.com

Personally I wouldn't put a guitar like this in a gig bag, but it's a July production of '93, the only year they were made. And I'm not selling it but will pass on interested parties
Would love to snap it up, but I have two SS 80's already, including my one I ordered in '93 and my one off purple quilt top maple cap neck SS 80, that I just managed to hold onto my marriage to acquire

No one knows the reasons why.
You lived each day like there was no tomorrow.
You spent those years living on time you borrowed.
And in your eyes, all I could see was sorrow.
