I don't like guitar rig, I prefer stuff like POD Farm. Overloud is supposed to be great as well, but I haven't got to try it yet. And for recording software I usually use Reaper and sometimes Cubase. The only reason I've still got Sonar is because of the neat softsynths and drum computer

I've never used any of the POD items, but the main reason I use FL Studios is because Im into electronica

Nice, is that a Dual Rectifier? Can't tell from the distance.

Hi blank,

Indeed it is. Dual rectifier at its best... It is a beast when turned up.

A buddy of mine and fellow band mate owned one. Unfortunately he had to scrap it for extra funds. He found a Genz Benz El Diablo at a pawn shop for $400 USD. He swears its the only thing that comes close to satisfying a previous Mesa Boogie player.

Just outta curiosity, do you use any pedals with it? Or do you work off the natural settings of the head.
Oh, and welcome to the forums

Thanks for welcome blank!

The only pedal I use is Zakk Wylde overdrive. I don't push it too hard, just enough to tighten the bottom end a bit. All the sound comes from Mesa, nobs set to 12ish oclcock with gain just under the half way and the main volume to 1 oclock which produces more mids so it cuts through PA nicely...

Lead channel is louder than the rhythm...

Clean channel is set to crunchy and I control it with the volume on my guitar. Beautiful sound when played with bridge pick up.

Forgot to mention. This is a song from my bands debut EP. I used Engl for this one.

And this is me playing a solo using my current Mesa gear. The sound is bad but you'll get an idea...

Good stuff, where do you guys hail from?

I've wanted a head that I didn't have to add numerous pedals to achieve a solid tone. I use a tube screamer on my Valveking to give it a nice bit of "oomph" while on the house distortion. Other than that I use a noise suppressor and pedal tuner. I gotta get pictures up of my gear sometime :(

We are from Canberra, Australia.

Yeah, I know what you mean. I used to play through the rack with a crap load of effects and it got really complicated. How is your noise suppressor pedal? What brand? I've been thinking of puting one in te loop. There is one place we play where the power is not all that good and our gear is always noisy.
