Palm Muting Riffs

today we’re going to look at palm muting in riffs.
this is how to make your riffs sound beefier.
a palm mute is where you rest the side of your palm on the bride, and (keeping
your hand where it is) Picking the chord.
you’ll have to drop your guitar to drop D for this lesson.
this is a technique used a lot by bands like Metallica and Disturbed.

palm mute the chords with a p underneath, the others must sound.
if you do this right you should end up with one beefy riff. try experimenting
with different riffs and intervals. should be fun.
Enjoy, and thanks for reading.
