A Little Solo Trick

Hey, most seasoned players already know this but for new guitarists a good thing to remember is that if your rhythm player is playing an E powerchord then if you stay between 12-15 with occasional slides up to 17 then using the standard blues scale on the twelfth fret and adding small variations you can easily make up a small melodic solo!

I know what it’s like to be a new guitarist making up your first solo and when you get it down, to you it’s better than any Yngwie, Rusty or Petrucci.

Just stick to this and you can’t go far wrong (for now!)
