Painting Effects Pedals

First, read our tutorial on painting a guitar
Painting an effects pedal is not too different from a guitar, the process is mostly the same, yet less skill is required to get an even finish (the area is smaller and the sides can be sprayed individually). The role of the primer is more important here however, as the material that is to be painted is different – metal, not wood. This means you have to make sure the primer covers well and that you pay more attention to sanding the finish smooth, as with metal cases there are usually scratches from their construction process or from shipping and handling. Nothing too major though, wet and dry sandpaper usually does the job nicely 🙂
